HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
Dear Homeowners,
Attached hereto please find a Notice and Agenda for a special meeting of the Board of Directors of Ridgeview Lake Estates North Home Owners Association, Inc., (the “HOA”), for purposes of having a second open discussion regarding the proposed amendments to the HOA’s governing documents and the ultimate renewal of such documents (which would otherwise expire in May 2023). The meeting will be held on October 26, 2022, at 7:00 PM, at the Davie Police Community meeting room located at 1230 S. Nob Hill Rd, Davie, FL 33324.
In previous emails and letters to the HOA membership, as well as on the HOA’s website, the HOA’s Board of Directors circulated a draft of the proposed amendments and requested feedback (i.e., thoughts and comments) from HOA members as to same. The Board had requested that any and all such feedback be submitted to the HOA on or before September 16, 2022, such that the Board would then be in a position to present a final draft of the proposed amendments to the homeowners for approval (i.e., a formal vote) at a duly noticed membership meeting to be held on October 26, 2022. However, in light of the feedback that was, in fact, received by the HOA from some of our homeowners over the past several weeks, the Board has elected, instead, to use the aforesaid October 26 meeting as a forum to allow for further discussion of the proposed amendments by and amongst the homeowners (and an opportunity for the homeowners to exchange additional ideas regarding such proposed amendments).
Accordingly, we would strongly encourage each of you to review and familiarize yourself with the current governing documents of the HOA, as well as each of the proposed amendments thereto, in advance of the aforesaid October 26 meeting; attend and participate in said meeting; and come prepared to such meeting with any and all questions and/or suggestions that you may have with respect to the proposed amendments. If you are unable to attend the October 26 meeting, then we would urge you to please email any such questions and suggestions to the HOA in advance thereof (to pasadenaestateshoa@gmail.com). Please note that you may visit the HOA’s website at https://pasadenaestateshoa.homes/ to view the proposed amendments to the governing documents in redlined format. As you will see, most of the proposed changes involve “clean up” of poorly drafted language and/or updating of language so as to correspond with the current state of the law (keeping in mind that most of the existing rules, regulations, covenants and restrictions were drafted nearly 30 years ago).
